The Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME) has announced that its upcoming 2024 edition will be the biggest in the last ten years.
The event, scheduled for February 19 to 21 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, will host over 600 buyers globally, along with 3500 visitor buyers and 570 exhibitors across various business events sectors.
This remarkable growth, representing a 63% increase in exhibitors compared to AIME 2023, solidifies AIME’s standing as the premier event for the international business events community in the Asia-Pacific region.
Among the highlights are the participation of 33 countries, including newcomers like Fiji, Korea, Macau and Canada.
AIME Event Director Silke Calder said: “More than 600 Hosted Buyers will attend AIME 2024, which is an amazing growth of 51% on 2023. We will host buyers from Australia, New Zealand, South-East Asia, North Asia, India, USA, Canada, Europe and UK. It sets the scene for a truly amazing 31st AIME.”
In a new development, AIME 2024 will introduce an official podcast, providing behind-the-scenes insights into the dynamic world of events. Additionally, the event will feature dedicated zones for boutique experience makers and Destination Management Companies from around the world.
The Knowledge Program, themed “The 4Ps of GLOCALISATION,” will kick off the three-day event, featuring keynote speakers Lisa Ronson and Sebastian Terry.
AIME’s CEO, Julia Swanson, said: “For close to a third of a century, as owners of AIME, Melbourne Convention Bureau has been bringing the business events industry together, building connections and sharing knowledge at AIME, right here in Australia’s events capital, Melbourne.”
